Mobile Unit Food Concessions

You are invited to apply for a Food Concession for England's Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle.

The cost per individual food concession is £975.00. This entitles the concessionaire to have one unit on site for all three festival days. The total number of mobile unit food concessions will be no more than eleven and the acceptance of more than one unit by an individual concessionaire will be considered at the time of booking. A booking form must be completed for each unit and accompanied by a cheque or payment details in order for a £500 non-refundable deposit to be paid upon confirmation of acceptance. The balance must be paid by 1st April.

The points of sale will be in one of two food areas which are some distance apart. The positioning of the units is at the complete discretion of the organisers.

To avoid duplication of food items the applying concessionaire must submit, at the time of booking, a complete list or menu of those items being sold. Confirmation will be upon acceptance and approval of the submitted menus.

There will limited electrical plug-in power available for a fee, where the units will be sited, and must be requested in advance. Generators must be provided by the individual units to ensure access to power.

In keeping with the medieval theme all servers must be in some form of medieval costume or England 's Medieval Festival T-shirt. Three T-shirts per concession will be provided, with additional shirts available for £6.00 each.

Applications will be considered on a first come first served basis.

Bed & Breakfast is available in the Castle’s residence building, subject to availability, with varying prices to suit. Alternatively, free on-site camping is available. The beer and food marquee will be open at night for staff and participants.

Failure to disclose your full product range could mean that you are asked to move after you have set-up. Pre-approval on menus and prices will be necessary at the time of booking. The booking will be accepted only if there is space available in one of the food areas for a unit to sell the agreed menu items listed below. No payments will be accepted until you have been approved and advised of your acceptance.

Bookings:

The cost for a concession is £975.00. Booking can be done online with a credit card, by Paypal or by mailed cheque (no cheques accepted after April 1st) . This entitles the concessionaire to have one unit on site for all three days.
